Burg resident wins man shed!
A Wallaceburg resident is the winner of a “man shed” contest sponsored by the United Way of Chatham-Kent.
The contest managed to raise more than $22,000 in ticket sales to go towards the community goal of $2,000,022.
Contractors have agreed to build the shed at Brian Gray’s home in Wallaceburg, including a cement pad by Lafarge Canada.
The shed will be fully completed with drywall and wiring and will feature a 26-inch flat screen TV and a bar fridge.
More than 5,000 tickets were sold on the draw, which took place Jan. 29.
Sponsors of the event were Preferred Building Products, Lafarge Canada, Absolute Sound, Paxton Aluminum, Molson’s, MSC Building Concepts, Custom Concrete, Braycorp, MP Roofing, Preferred Woodworking and Western Equipment.
